About the Portuguese language course

ABC Japan’s Portuguese language course was designed for both Brazilians that would like to reclaim or keep their heritage language alive, and for foreigners that are interested in Brazilian culture and language.

In this course, we want to teach not only the Portuguese language, but also share more about Brazilian culture and traditions. Learn a new idiom and open up for new experiences and opportunities while building new relationships and networking with other foreigners.

In the Portuguese as a Heritage Language Workshop, we offer to young Brazilians residents in Japan to reflect on their own origins and identity. As a support entity, us from ABC Japan want these young people to get in touch with those who are in a similar context so they can comprehend their own roots and their own situation more clearly.

The Portuguese Course is offered in individual and group lessons, according to the student’s needs. Designed for Japanese speakers that want to learn more about Brazil and Portuguese language, as well as for those who want to improve their Portuguese proficiency.
